Magnet Applications is the only manufacturer worldwide that designs and produces both magnets and magnetizers. We deliver a fully integrated solution from material selection and magnet production to final magnetization. With over 60 years of magnet-making expertise, our systems are engineered to unlock the best performance from every magnet, both physically and magnetically.
Over the decades, we’ve produced nearly one billion bonded NdFeB magnets and magnetized them on more than 500 in-house designed fixtures. This experience in bonded magnet magnetization allows us to design magnetizers and fixtures that deliver precise, repeatable results for industries worldwide.
Why Choose Magnet Applications:
- Proven Expertise: Over 60 years of magnet-making and magnetization experience, including one billion bonded NdFeB magnets magnetized on 500+ in-house fixtures.
- Full Integration: Magnets, magnetizers, and fixtures designed together for maximum performance.
- Global Support: Engineering teams in North America and Europe to support you wherever you manufacture.
- Secure Supply: Active sourcing from non-China suppliers, with long-term stocking options to reduce risk.
From compact precision sensors to high-energy traction motor rotors, our magnetizers deliver repeatable, high-strength magnetization that meets the toughest technical requirements.
Why Magnetization Matters
Magnetization is the critical final step in producing any permanent magnet or magnetic assembly. In this process, the magnet is exposed to a high-intensity magnetic field that forces its internal domains into alignment for maximum performance.
Required field strengths vary by material:
- Bonded NdFeB: Up to 60 kOe for full saturation (≈98% achieved at ~30 kOe)
- Sintered Rare Earths (NdFeB, SmCo): 3–5 Tesla (capacitor discharge systems required)
- Ferrite & Alnico: ~1 Tesla (achievable with DC electromagnets or permanent magnet systems)
If a magnet isn’t fully saturated, performance suffers. Magnet Applications systems use precisely timed capacitor discharge pulses to deliver the necessary field strength while protecting coils and fixtures from overheating.

The Magnet Applications Advantage
Unlike conventional magnetizer manufacturers, Magnet Applications combines magnet production expertise with magnetizer design — giving you performance and support that others can’t match.
- From Lab to Production: Scalable systems for prototyping, pilot runs, and full-scale industrial manufacturing. Multipole Precision: Fixtures and magnetizers engineered for 2–20+ pole patterns, improving EV motor efficiency and sensor accuracy.
- Waveform Engineering: Customizable magnetization waveforms (square, trapezoidal, sinusoidal, skewed) optimized to reduce torque ripple and harmonics.
- Safety & Standards: Built-in interlocks, E-stops, and guarded access, backed by operator training, calibration audits, and service plans to minimize downtime.
- Integration You Can’t Get Elsewhere: As both a magnet producer and magnetizer manufacturer, we know how to get the best performance out of magnet materials — physically and magnetically.

Where Magnets Meet Magnetizers
Compression bonded and injection molded magnets are only as effective as the magnetizer behind them. At Magnet Applications, we engineer both the magnets and the magnetizers, ensuring that every component is brought to full performance. By managing magnetization in-house, we deliver consistent field strength, repeatable results, and faster paths from prototype to production.

Compression Bonded Neodymium Magnets manufactured entirely outside of China, with full control from powder sourcing to final magnetization and coating—right here in the U.S. Compression bonded magnets are produced by combining neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) powder with a resin binder and molybdenum lubricant. The mix is pressed into molds and oven-cured, resulting in strong, dimensionally stable magnets with excellent shape flexibility and low tooling costs.

Injection molded magnets are available in both neodymium and hard ferrite materials and are often used in large quantities for various applications. What makes these especially useful is that they provide seemingly endless shapes and sizes while maintaining magnetic strength. They are made by mixing magnetic materials with a polymer binder, like nylon or polyphenylene sulfide.
