Neodymium magnets, like other rare-earth magnets, often require specific manufacturing conditions. For example, certain rare-earth magnets require extremely high magnetizing fields that are difficult to produce and demand large power supplies, as well as very carefully designed magnetizing fixtures. Bunting’s advanced design and production facilities allow us to offer magnets and magnetizing solutions that require these high magnetizing fields, even in the case of isotropic bonded neodymium materials that demand up to 60 kOe to reach full saturation.

Custom Designed Neodymium Magnets from Bunting
While many vendors offer standard in-stock neodymium magnets, Bunting offers several unique varieties of neodymium magnets that are difficult to find elsewhere. If you are seeking an engineered neodymium magnet, we have an enormous range of custom design options, with many shapes, sizes, strengths, and coatings available. We also offer bonded neodymium magnets that may be compression bonded or injection molded to achieve your desired shape. Bonded neodymium magnets boast high performance, high tolerances, low electrical conductivity, and a low price point, making them a cost-effective option. Bonded neodymium magnets can be manufactured in complex shapes and require no coating, although black epoxy and Parylene coatings are available.

Injection molded neodymium magnets are one of Bunting’s specialties. Our ability to produce injection molded magnets allows us to create magnets in complex shapes with high levels of precision, as well as insert or over-molding. Injection molding allows us to create many identical magnetic components in a short amount of time, making this method ideal for high-volume production. Injection molding not only delivers high volume output and productivity, but also provides magnets with tight tolerances that would be unachievable otherwise.
